Taua's Nz Bakehouse

Slacks Creek

Taua's NZ Bakehouse is a sweet slice of New Zealand found tucked away in the corner of a nondescript shopping centre in Slacks Creek.

Worth seeking out, this tiny kiwi bakery makes everything fresh from scratch using recipes passed down from generation to generation. Classic kiwi treats include afghan biscuits, peanut butter brownies, lolly cake, coconut crunch and ginger crunch.

Additional sweets range from fresh cream puffs and eclairs to lemon coconut slice and key lime pies; while savoury pies include bacon and egg, mince and cheese, chicken and leek, and smoked salmon.
