KatsuCo, one of Brisbane's favourite Japanese restaurants, specialising in premium katsu dishes, has just opened on Brisbane's east side at Coorparoo Marketplace.

The popular Japanese eatery has four other locations: Sherwood, Toowong, North Lakes, and Southport, Gold Coast.

The Coorparoo eatery boasts KatsuCo's signature fit-out, featuring lots of timber and halo light fixtures, with a huge, communal table in the centre of the restaurant.

The menu offers an array of Katsu sets, from Tofu Katsu and TonKatsu (pork loin) to gooey Cheese Katsu and Tomahawk Katsu (350g pork rib eye). All sets are served beautifully on a timber tray with a small bowl of rice, cabbage salad, miso soup, katsu sauce, pink salt, pickled vegetables and wasabi.

Alternatively, there are rice bowl dishes (donburi) including Japanese katsu curry with KatsuCo's signature chicken, pork, prawn or tofu katsu, as well as donburi topped with fresh salmon, grilled salmon or soy glazed eggplant. Rounding out the food menu are noodle dishes like hot and spicy soba with seasonal veggies, pork and beef bolognese or creamy carbonara udon noodles. 

In addition, there's a tasty selection of side dishes such as seaweed salad, salmon sashimi, edamame, takoyaki and karaage chicken.  

The drinks menu consists of fruit juices, soft drinks, Japanese fizzy drinks, hot green tea, and peach iced tea. KatsuCo is currently BYO.
